The deal, in plain words.
Using PostHush means agreeing to a short, reasonable set of terms. No traps, no fine print designed to be skipped.

The short version
Pay your subscription, use the service for lawful email, don't abuse it or break it for others, and we'll keep your mailbox running and your data private. You own your mail and can leave with all of it at any time.
1Your account
PostHush is invite-only while we're growing. When you accept an invite and create a mailbox, you're responsible for keeping your credentials and encryption keys safe. Because your mail is end-to-end encrypted and your keys live on your device, we cannot recover your messages if you lose your keys — that's the cost of us not being able to read them.
2Acceptable use
Use PostHush for normal, lawful email. Don't use it to send spam, malware, or unlawful content, to harass others, or to attack or overload the service. We may suspend an account that does — not to police your opinions, which we can't read, but to protect deliverability and the people who share the platform with you.
3Payment
- PostHush is a paid service — a simple flat subscription, billed in advance.
- There's no ad-funded free tier, because there are no ads.
- You can cancel any time; your mailbox stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Prices may change, but we'll give account holders clear notice before any change affects them.
4Your data and portability
Your mail is yours. You can export everything as a standard .mbox file at any time and use any IMAP client you like. If you close your account, we remove your data from active systems and purge it from backups on our normal rotation. No lock-in, no hostage situation.
5Availability
We work hard to keep the service running and post any disruption on our status page. That said, we provide PostHush "as is" and can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We're a small team being honest about what we can guarantee.
6Liability
To the extent the law allows, PostHush isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the prior twelve months. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable law that can't be waived.
7Ending the agreement
You can stop using PostHush whenever you like by closing your account. We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and we'll give you a way to export your mail first wherever we reasonably can.
8Changes
If we update these terms, we'll change the date above and notify account holders before the changes take effect. Continuing to use PostHush after that means you accept the update.
