A small company, on purpose.
PostHush is private, encrypted email run by a handful of people who think your inbox should answer to you — and no one else. No ads, no trackers, no data harvested. Ever.
Why we exist
Email used to be quiet. Somewhere along the way it became the most surveilled place in your digital life — scanned to target ads, salted with tracking pixels, your address sold and resold. We started PostHush because we wanted the other thing: a mailbox that minds its own business, and yours.
We're not trying to reinvent email. We're trying to give it back. Encrypted by default, built on the open standards email was always meant to run on, and funded by the people who use it rather than the people who watch it.
How we're built
- Independent. No venture capital, no investors with a growth chart to feed. We answer to the people who pay for the service — and to no one else.
- Paid, not free. A simple subscription keeps the incentives honest. When you're not the product, no one's quietly building a profile of you in the background.
- Small by design. We grow in waves, invite-only, so the service stays fast and the support stays human. Every new mailbox is a real cost we'd rather meet with care.
- Open at the seams. IMAP, SMTP, OpenPGP. Bring any client you trust, and take everything with you the day you decide to leave.
What we believe
Privacy isn't a feature you toggle on — it's the default, or it isn't real. We hold keys to nothing. We collect almost nothing. We sell nothing, because there's nothing to sell. These aren't promises we make in marketing; they're constraints we build the product around.

The short version
An inbox that does one thing well and leaves you alone. Private, encrypted, ad-free, portable, and quiet — the way email used to be.
